but as my economy was limited and my full army and other half stack army were consistently occupied with defending the settlements and taking down big armies and generals, i found myself stuck in quite a loop. I ended up taking down 4 generals and many, many armies. and eventually marched with the full force to foldburg to bring decisive defeats to the horsemen. I had build roads in my villages, mines in isengard, and made sure to max out my armies in the forts and isengard itself for free upkeep. and thus started the eternal back and forth battle for foldburg. It was at this point, somewhere between turns 10-15 that rohan simply decided to immediately declare war on me despite giving them a little gold and trade early on. I immediately gathered my troops and indeed expanded westwards. Now this sounds very neat and all, but the reality was seemingly alot different. People wrote how they made sure to do things like capturing all the rebel settlements to the west, spam snaga stacks to try and keep the rohan distracted in the mean time as well as grinding them down ever so slowly, and got themselves some pikemen to seal the deal with the horsemen of the east.

i knew that income wasn't in its favor but its nicely armoured units that countered rohan were.

and decided for the first time that i'd play isengard.

So i've been playing TATW for awhile and went for playing the submod.
